Fear of overtreatment
As a therapist, I find that there is often a fear of ending up with an unnatural result, i.e. looking treated and losing your character. This is quite natural, as it's these overtreated cases that are visible and will be noticed on the street. After all, no one «sees» all the successful and natural treatments :-) These just look well-groomed, fresh and obvious.
Better knowledge, techniques and products
The knowledge of what happens to our face as we age has become very good, as have the products and techniques used. An experienced and serious practitioner will therefore be able to give you a natural and more obvious expression, while preserving your own features.

Your job is to find a therapist who has the necessary qualifications, experience and, not least, an interest in ensuring that you are satisfied with the results.
Necessary qualifications
Until recently, there were no laws and guidelines for who could inject filler, which unfortunately led to an increasing number of complications, some quite serious. It was recently decided that only healthcare professionals should be allowed to perform such treatments, but it has not yet been specified which healthcare professionals should be allowed to perform this. Reputable suppliers only sell to authorized healthcare professionals with the necessary qualifications. You should check that the practitioner is a doctor, nurse or dentist, and that they also have training and experience in such treatments.
Any treatment should start with a thorough consultation, where you will be thoroughly informed about what options are available, what may be relevant to you, and where you can ask questions and express your wishes and views. You should also be thoroughly informed about any complications that may arise, and make sure that your therapist has the knowledge and resources to deal with them.
As a practitioner, I think it's incredibly important that anyone considering investing in an injection treatment ensures the best conditions for a great result. Your skin and your face deserve nothing less:-)
